The sex here was hot and steamy-there were definitely kindle melting moments.

These are people I could see myself hanging out with and just having fun. I could relate to these characters easily, felt their connection and shook my head as they tried to deny it. I loved the connection that they had initially-and loved watching it grow and change. A fun, best friend's little sister/forbidden romance? Yes, please. Combine her writing with what might be my all time favorite trope? Well, you get Bro Code. When I read a Kendall Ryan book I know it's going to be good and allow me to escape real life for a bit. Kendall Ryan is one of my few automatic one click authors. When the drama ramped up, I was worried as I devoured every moment to see what would happen. Will the code win? Will life push them in different directions? I enjoyed the struggle for Barrett, Ava does a great job pushing all his buttons.

Ava is also faced with the challenge of running her father’s factory, a business that is faltering while Barrett is working hard to become partner at his law firm. They haven’t seen each other but when they are reunited for a retirement party of Ava’s dad, well, the chemistry is electric and they both struggle, Barrett to uphold the code and Ava trying to get Barrett to break it. Ava has lusted after her brother’s best friend for years. But I appreciated Barrett’s loyalty as he tries to maintain his distance from Ava. Truly, I find that frustrating if someone is the love of your life, it shouldn’t matter about any code. Barrett is I love with his best friend’s sister but he knows he needs to stay away to honor the code between men. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.
